James is a 43 year old father of two, who was recently granted limited leave to remain in the UK without recourse to public funds.
Having waited for a many years to be eligible to work in the UK, James had spent this time as a full time dad while his wife who is a British citizen financially supported the family.
Finally able to contribute to the household income James set out to find work however without recourse to public funds James was unable to access the job center or the national careers service for support.
Our employment support workers met with James to renew his CV, coach him through how to explain the long gap in his employment history and to practice his interview skills.
James succeeded in obtaining a support worker role with another local charity and was very grateful for the support from See Change as the boost in confidence helped him succeed in the interview.
