Van driver – Social Enterprise
As a volunteer at the bike workshop you will be working within a growing network of social enterprises that act as a pathway back into work for the homeless and socially excluded.
The role involves assisting the four Julian House Bike Workshops by driving bikes, parts and accessories between shops and loading and unloading the van. You will need to liaise with the Shop Managers and the other van driver to prioritise journeys and keep the van clean and tidy.
Commitment is one day a week, two if possible but not necessary.
Skills and Qualifications Required
Full Clean Driving License
- Develop time management and task management skills.
- Learn to prioritise workload and logistical skills of liaising between different teams and locations.
- We will also be able to give you a work reference after 3 months.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Volunteers will receive support from the lead Van Driver, the Social Enterprise Area Manager, and the Volunteer Coordinator. There will be opportunities for further skill development and experience within the organisation.
In doing this job you will have a key role within our organisation, we rely on the support of our volunteers.
